Brian D. Waller

Mr. Waller has been a partner of the firm since 2004. He has extensive experience litigating complex civil and criminal cases.  He counsels and defends individuals and corporations in a wide variety of federal and state criminal, civil, and regulatory matters, as well as in arbitrations. He represents clients with business interests in the securities, financial, insurance, transportation, shipping, construction, real estate, environmental, and manufacturing industries. Mr. Waller also regularly handles complex criminal and civil appeals in federal and state courts. 

Mr. Waller served as an Assistant District Attorney in Bronx County, New York, from 1993 to 1998 where he conducted numerous felony jury trials and complex criminal investigations. 

Mr. Waller received a B.A. from the State University of New York at Binghamton in 1990 and a J.D. from Hofstra University School of Law in 1993. He is admitted to practice in New York State Supreme Court and United States District Court for the Southern, Eastern and Northern Districts of New York. He has also handled various federal matters in the states of New Jersey and Florida.

Mr. Waller is a member of the New York State Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, the American Bar Association and the Bar Association for the City of New York, where he has served on the Committee for Criminal Advocacy. Mr. Waller has been lectured and been on the faculty for numerous continuing legal education programs on such topics as Privileges in Civil and Criminal Litigation, Taking and Defending Depositions, Motion Practice in Federal and State Courts, The Crime Fraud Exception to the Attorney-Client Privilege and The Tripartite Relationship in Insurance Law. Mr. Waller has appeared on NBC news and was a frequent expert legal commentator on Court TV.

Mr. Waller was selected for inclusion in New York Super Lawyers in 2009.
